Early morning On Jan. 1, 1996. I was driving along when my My Life took a wrong turn.  Maybe it was the alcohol, or maybe it was the bump to my head when I drove the car into the ditch, or maybe it was just meant to be...we will never know for sure.  What we do know is that I had a massive rupture in my brain and was rushed to emergency where they would perform brain surgery to stop the bleeding that was happening.  My family and friends were optimistic that I would recover from surgery, have a tough go at it, and then all would be good.  However, I was having Vasospasms, to the point where it caused a series of strokes to occur, and it was during these strokes that I lost my ability to walk, talk, read, write and for a few scary months...eat. 13 years later, I am still in recovery mode.
